Brand Story
The apathy towards the adoption of the .ng Country Code Top Level Domain from inception is a foundation of three (3) things:
- Lack of awareness
- Lack of trust and
- Poor services by the registrars.
The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), as a self-regulatory organisation and the manager of the “.ng” country-code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) founded on March 23, 2005, has been facing different neglect by Nigerians. Nigerians and government parastatals would rather purchase a generic domain than a “.ng” domain, hence the need for perception building and lead generation campaigns.
In 2021, the organisation enlisted PANDORA Agency for three months of Lead Generation and Social Media Management services to correct the perception of Nigerians, and we adopted an aggressive marketing approach. This raised concern in the federation and necessitated the compulsory adoption of the .ng by all government parastatals and varying degrees of discussion about the uptake of the .ng country code Top-Level Domain.
